It's Your Future!

What’s in it for Teachers

Are you struggling to offer your pupils career advice?

The It’s Your Future! project is geared to educating young people between the ages of 14-17 about the breadth of career choice available in the oil and gas industry.

Schools can either watch our virtual visit, or request a visit from an industry ambassador who will tell the story of their career in oil and gas and engage with pupils via a series of classroom activities which have been designed in-line with the curriculum.

The visits will enable your class to find out about where oil comes from, the complex business surrounding upstream production and the dynamic and exciting job roles that are involved at each level.  They will also be given the opportunity to use the Career Planner tool to help them learn about which job roles would suit their personalities.

To request a visit please email itsyourfuture@opito.com

How it benefits the industry

The It’s Your Future! project represents the oil and gas industry as a whole, providing young people with up-to-date, positive information about the sector and the breadth of opportunities within it. Find out more information on how the initiative can complement your organisation’s CSR and CPD objectives.

We are always looking for people from industry to act as project ambassadors, leading It’s Your Future! visits across UK schools. If your company is interested in providing new starts with information on the project, please email itsyourfuture@opito.com to get things started.
