The Energy Schools Challenge!
The Energy Schools Challenge gives 16 schools from Aberdeen City and Shire the opportunity to compete in a fast paced quiz which tests their awareness of the energy industry as well as their knowledge of sport, music and general topics.
Pupils in S3, S4, S5 and S6 get the chance to compete in teams of 4 to win cash prizes and a laptop for their school.
The Challenge is run in conjunction with OPITO and the Energy Institute and is given a prime-time slot on Northsound Radio before the chart show on Sunday evenings. Shows will be recorded on Wednesday evenings in September, October and November and will be hosted at the offices of sponsoring companies in Aberdeen and Westhill.
The Challenge aims to enable school pupils to learn more about the oil and gas industry in the hope they will consider it as a viable career option in the future.
