As an Accountant in the oil and gas industry, I work with Engineers to determine and track the costs associated with drilling wells. It’s a great job because it allows me to work with a wide variety of people from other Accountants and Engineers to Supply Chain professionals. Working with such a wide variety of people really makes the job interesting and enables me to gain a lot of knowledge on the industry as whole.

I didn’t set out to work in the oil and gas industry, when I was at school I wanted to become a sportsman. However, while studying Accountancy at university, I completed a placement at an oil company and later landed a graduate job. I love the fact I have the opportunity to study for more qualifications and I really hope to travel with my job too, I want to see the world.
